Location Note
We are looking for qualified applicants located in Northwest Georgia. The successful candidate will regularly travel throughout the area, including travel to the main office in Dalton occurring twice per week.
About the Role
The Community Outreach Team Lead is responsible for supervising and directing a team of Community Outreach Representatives to ensure effective execution of outreach initiatives. This position plays a critical role in day-to-day team leadership, operational oversight, and community engagement, exercising independent judgment and discretion in managing staff, assigning work, and resolving routine operational matters.
The Team Lead supports client acquisition efforts by ensuring that outreach activities are executed consistently, accurately, and in alignment with the organization's strategy. This role partners closely with the Community Outreach Manager to maintain performance standards, identify operational improvements, and strengthen relationships within assigned communities. Success is measured by team performance, execution quality, data accuracy, and the ability to translate strategy into action.
What You’ll Do
- Directly lead, supervise, coach, and support Community Outreach Representatives to ensure consistent performance, professionalism, and adherence to outreach standards.
- Builds team cohesion through consistent meeting cadence, clear expectations, and shared team norms.
- Maintains positive morale by recognizing performance, celebrating wins, and reinforcing a service-oriented team culture.
- Participate in strategic planning sessions with the Community Outreach Manager.
- Assign daily and weekly outreach tasks, prioritize workloads, and monitor progress toward outreach and acquisition goals.
- Maintain situational awareness of the environment in assigned areas of responsibility and adapt strategies accordingly to attain team objectives.
- Schedule team coverage, outreach activities, office hours, and community engagement efforts.
- Assess, prioritize, and assign incoming leads to outreach staff based on established criteria and operational judgment.
- Collaborate with the Community Outreach Manager to ensure outreach execution aligns with broader campaign and organizational strategy.
- Research, recommend, and support outreach events, partnerships, and engagement opportunities.
- Partner cross-functionally with Marketing, Creative, Legal, and Operations teams to ensure messaging accuracy and consistency.
- Ensure accurate and timely entry of outreach activities, leads, contracts, and outcomes into CRM and reporting systems.
- Review outreach data for accuracy, trends, and operational insights; prepare routine reports and summaries for your manager.
- Monitor and manage outreach materials, supplies, and resources to ensure efficient use and availability.
- Support and contribute to the development and refinement of outreach processes, workflows, and best practices.
- Coordinate events and logistics as needed.
- Provide progress reporting and updates to the Community Outreach Manager.
- Regularly provide performance feedback to direct reports, reporting the same to the Community Outreach Manager on a monthly basis.
- Exercise discretion and independent judgment within the team’s area of responsibility and with respect to other matters of significance to Community Outreach.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2+ years of people management experience, preferably in outreach, community engagement, sales, or related fields.
- Experience leading effective team meetings.
- Proven track record of building and maintaining community partnerships.
- Knowledge of local community organizations and resources.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Highly organized with the ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable with working with diverse groups of people and communities.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace and familiarity with Salesforce or similar tools preferred.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Must be willing to use personal vehicle for work-related travel; mileage reimbursement is provided in accordance with company policy.

Physical Requirements
- Occasional need to lift at least 20 pounds.

- Regular travel within Northwest Georgia; use of a personal vehicle is required.

Salary Range: $72,000 - $80,000 per year
