We are currently seeking two Testers to join our Dalton, GA office in support of the PFAS Georgia campaign. The Tester plays a key role in this investigation by conducting field sampling, coordinating with laboratories, and maintaining accurate documentation of findings. This position is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and reporting water and soil samples to ensure compliance with environmental safety standards and case requirements.

The ideal candidate has a background in environmental science or a related field, with hands-on experience in sampling, testing, and detailed recordkeeping.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collects water, soil, and sediment samples in accordance with EPA and state-approved PFAS sampling protocols.
  • Conducts quality assurance tasks assigned based on the phase of the case and claims made on behalf of the client.
  • Gathers and interprets data to develop actionable next steps that will optimize case results.
  • Collaborates with Case Analysts and litigation teams to ensure data is collected and reported within required deadlines.
  • Works with external partners such as experts, appraisers, and contractors to validate and maximize client’s claims.
  • Supports expert witnesses and attorneys by preparing technical data summaries, site maps, and exhibits.
  • Provides input during case strategy meetings by presenting findings and highlighting environmental or technical considerations.
  • Supports community events for leads and clients.
  • Adheres to all health, safety, and environmental protocols during fieldwork and sample handling.
  • Tracks and reports project progress, flagging potential risks or delays to project managers and legal teams.
  • Perform other duties as required/assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Chemistry, Biology, or related field; or 2-3 years of relevant field or laboratory experience may substitute.
  • Sufficient experience and education to read, understand, and record a variety of data used in the water and soil testing.
  • Knowledge and ability to follow safety policies. 
  • Intermediate computer skills. Proficiency in Google Sheets, Microsoft Office, or Salesforce is preferred.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

  • Able to remain calm under pressure.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to change quickly.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player.
  • Ability to troubleshoot minor office technology or serve as liaison with IT support.
  • Ability to interview people and elicit pertinent information.
  • Adaptable and willing to learn in dynamic situations.
  • Available for occasional weekend work and community events.

Physical Requirements

  • Requires an employee to walk, reach, and bend for extended periods.
  • Requires an employee to move heavy objects; occasional need to lift at least 50 pounds.
  • Requires an employee to traverse rough terrain. 
  • Frequent need for oral, written, and auditory communication.
  • Prolonged periods working on a computer.
  • Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and sometimes stressful services environment.
  • Regular travel within Northwest Georgia.

Pay Range: $22.00-$34.00 per hour
